In this case the officer merely poisoned her with sugar.

(17,863 posts)Go do your jobs. I do not want to ever be stopped by the police unless it is for their official duties. It is scary for me. I can't even imagine how it might be for a black motorist. You do not build good will by doing this in my opinion.
If you want community outreach do it in person by talking to folks in the park, on the playground, or working to diffuse situations like when a neighbor calls the police on kids trying to play basketball in Florida.
The fight or flight response and the anxiety that comes with it is unnecessary to put a citizen through FOR NO REASON.
The laughter, etc. isn't pure joy... there's a lot of pent-up and needless anxiety at play here!

(9,833 posts)lights. I never drive above 79 MPH and ALWAYS have registration and permit, but every single time I see a flashing blue light, my heart starts racing, and I feel like I am going to have a panic attack. For what it's worth, I am a white woman over 65 and have never had a ticket. I am sorry for my brothers and sisters of all races, creeds, nationalities who are pulled over for anything in this country.
