Sacred Stone Camp Founder Remembers Whitestone Massacre

Published on Sep 4, 2016
We are resilient people. Sacred Stone Camp founder LaDonna Tamakawastewin Allard's great-great-grandmother, Nape Hote Win (Mary Big Moccasin) survived the bloodiest conflict between the Sioux Nations and the U.S. Army ever on North Dakota soil. Our struggle to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline is just the latest fight in a long history of fighting to survive.
