Hillary's Claim That 50% of Trump Supporters "Deplorable" is a Drastic Underestimate

1. HRC's only vice was her choice of words.

She would have been accurate and almost immune to criticism if she merely defined a certain number of Trump supporters as what they really are: racists, sexists, xenophobes who suffer from cognitive dissonance among other challenges.

Where she left herself open was using the word "deplorable". Not the word in particular, but any word that reflected a value judgment. Anything that could be interpreted/misinterpreted as "I'm up here and you're down there". This allowed Trump and his surrogates to overgeneralize and hijack what she meant. And by repetition of their meme, their interpretation is co-opting her message in the media. None of the shows that I've watched give the full context of her "deplorable" statement.

Truth told, I've been expecting a Trump assault on HRC when something she's said could be used as a condemnation of "good, solid, law-abiding, hard-working, faithful Americans".

2. Looks

I don't know if 50% of Trump supporters are deplorable. Sounds reasonable depending how you define deplorable. However based on visual examination, it is clear to me that most of them appear to be "uglier than a hat full of assholes". And that is pretty ugly.
