"Due Process? I thought that was how they make Velveeta."
Thanks to Bull from Night Court

But really, we lost due process in 2001 with the "Patriot Act" which means that all but one of my grandchildren have lived their entire lives withhout it. Three of them will be of voting age by the next presidential election. In a few years an entire generation of Americans will have been without it. It has become the norm and that is so wrong.

1st Amendment - (a)Prohibits Congress from making any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, (b)abridging the freedom of speech, (c)infringing on the freedom of the press, (d)interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or (e)prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

(a)Trump wants to have special ID for Muslims
(b)So-called 'free speech' zones out of sight and out of mind of those they are speaking about
(c)Trump denying press credentials to journalists
(d)Getting busted for hanging out on a street corner, or stepping off the sidewalk
(e)When was the last time you wrote a letter to your Congressman and got anything back but a machine signed form letter.

4th Amendment - Prohibits unreasonable searches and seizures and sets out requirements for search warrants based on probable cause as determined by a neutral judge or magistrate.

Umm..can you say FISC?

5th Amendment - Sets out rules for indictment by grand jury and (a)eminent domain, protects the (b)right to due process, and prohibits (c)self-incrimination and double jeopardy.

(a) Yeah, they want to build a shopping center where your house is and you don't want to sell. Tough, we'll get eminent domain and take your house and pay you what WE think its worth.
(b) Take the 5th? You MUST be guilty.

6th Amendment - Protects the right to a fair and speedy public trial by jury, including the rights to be notified of the accusations, to confront the accuser, to obtain witnesses and to retain counsel.

Do you have any idea how overloaded our courts are and how long it takes to get something to trial? Do you have any idea how many judicial positions are waiting to be filled?

8th Amendment - Prohibits excessive fines and excessive bail, as well as cruel and unusual punishment.

How about probation for rapists and life terms for marijuana use?

How much of our vaunted 'freedom' is really left. So we will elect Der Trumpenfurher and flush the rest of them away. They are on their way out anyway.
