3. Polls show a tight race in Utah

so, I can at least understand Pence going there. Trump could possibly finish 3rd there if McMullin gets a majority of Republicans and independents.

DC, I have no friggin' clue why Trump is there. They're running ads in NY, too, the most expensive media market in the country.

7. Trump is using a "campaign" excuse (and campaign MONEY) to pay for his appearance

at the opening of his half-empty hotel.

18. Where I live in there is a reich winger who runs every so often for office

I think it might have been more about advertising his business than actually running for office since he was running in an area where the candidates tend to not be from his party.

11. Dude has all but admitted defeat already

Saying that even if he doesn't get the white house, he still has his stupid hotel nearby.

He's trying to salvage what's left of his toxic brand, and failing badly at that too.

NY is a ego thing for him since it's his home state. Even Caribou Barbie wasted McCain's campaign dollars on Alaska.

12. Many prominent Mormons are against Trump

for moral reasons. Even Romney, Glenn Beck, and the Deseret News are anti-Trump.

15. I'm aware of that, but Romney was nothing like Trump. In fact, he was on of the first Republicans

to speak out publicly against Trump. The fact remains that no Republican will probably do better than Romney did in the state. Until another Mormon Republican runs for president. BTW, until the bus video came out, Trump was well ahead of Clinton in Utah. they apparently don't mind his racist, anti-immigrant, and anti-Muslim side.

Going to what should be a sympathetic crowd, with deep pockets for a future campaign.

election thingie. It looks like he's not going to win, so it's just no fun anymore... Except the screaming idiot rallies.. THOSE are still fun.

17. They have all but packed it in. They know they're going to lose. On another note...

....regarding "bigly", for months I thought he was saying that. But in the last week or two for some reason he's been speaking more clearly, or slowly.

What he's actually using is a popular phrase in New York City (lived there for 40 years) to describe things.

He's saying "big league", but most of the time he drops the end of league.

22. As others have pointed out, Pence is in Utah to prevent the humiliation of the GOP losing a solid...

red state. That's how bad Trump is, Clinton is within striking distance in Utah and Texas.

25. "Republicans" will still win Utah by 20+ points

They're not campaigning against Hillary in that state, they're campaigning against McMullin for no reason other than to avoid the embarrassment of an "independent" beating them in one of the reddest states on the map.

McMullin is a neocon handpicked to run against Trump in Utah that would be a republican in any other year. Hillary's numbers really haven't budged in the state while he's gone from 9% to 30% in a little over a month.
