I don't care if he changes his "I" to "D' - to me he's a Democrat through and through and he's perfectly fit to be a Dem leader. He speaks for me and he's the fighter who will speak for all of us.

.....he's anything but a strong leader.

He has introduced virtually no new legislation in his 30+ years in Washington, and none of any substance, but has co-sponsored hundreds of bills by other legislators. That's not leadership, that's going along for the ride.

You do realize that Sanders is an independent AND has already registered and formed his 2018 re-election committee as an INDEPENDENT.

Bernie Sanders, Democratic leaders call for 'Day of Action' to oppose health care cuts

https://www.google.com/amp/www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/politics/ct-bernie-sanders-democrats-healthcare-20161228-story,amp.htm

I personally don't care where the voice comes from on the left as long as it gets the job done but sadly I'm hearing only a few voices at the moment.

....then why single him out at all? Why not just go with "Democratic leaders call for 'Day of Action'?

I'll admit that Bernie isn't in the Democratic party but he is a reliable ally on the left. It's not like he pulls a lieberman and breaks rank.

The great saviour of the Dem Party is the guy who refuses to be a Dem. In fact, he once said he'd be a hypocrite if he ever ran as a Dem - and then did it anyway because he couldn't get any traction without being a hypocrite.

I will follow the Democrats where they lead, not Sanders. He is not leading me anywhere.

The weekend before the gold lame' inauguration. It's a Sunday, so hopefully lots of folks can come out.

We need to start the resistance right away. Even in your home town next to a fountain or in a park with just a few people gathered. We need to show them that we are in every county. Right wingers always think that Liberals and Democrats are in the big cities or California--but we're everywhere.

We need to remind our neighbors that Democrats put Medicare in place and we won't see it taken away or diminished!
