Bernie Sanders gives a powerful speech in front of thousands at our states capital in Montpelier Vermont.

1. I was there and it was unbelievable.

We didn't know Bernie was coming. Crowd went wild! Local news estimates MORE THAN 10,000 people were there, biggest crowd in Montpelier' history. State Police has to shut down 2-3 ramps on I-89 because of the volume of traffic in the village.

Montpelier has a population of about 7,855.....so a crowd of over 10,000 is quite remarkable.

I've never seen anything like this. So much diversity, so much creativity, so much good will. Vermont is such a special place and today's march shows why. So many men, women, children. Drums, guitars, flutes, tambourines, the Bread and Puppet Theatre group.

The roar when Bernie showed up was almost deafening. People were in tears, even grown men.

I'll remember this remarkable, uplifting day for a very long time.

2. Bernie's speech may be the best political speech I've ever heard.

He is a person that cares about people. I hope that his health holds up. Our movement needs him.
