They make lots of money and give the party control over the political members. What do you think about them continuing?

I agree with that message...people need to listen to all sources of info and make up their own minds from what is being tossed around. Some of it is complete bull shit...on both sides. DEFINITELY more from fox and reich wing talk radio, but there is some that is skewed from the left as well.

Once had a very respected man share with me that he buys three newspapers every day, in Mexico, and he reads them all and makes up his mind from the three. One is far left, one is far right, and one is supposedly "neutral", or in the middle.

I can't bring myself to listen to fox or msnbc, but I do scan websites on both sides of the political spectrum, and I review NPR, Al Jazeera, the BBC, and yes, even RT with Hartmann from time to time. I also listen to the politicians from both parties, and have to sift through for "the truth" that is often hidden in what they are saying.

I agree that too many are tuned in only to their political beliefs, and they just get more pissed and frustrated with every passing day. These jack asses are going to pass. dRumpf is an insult to humanity, but his days are numbered. So are Pelosi, Schummer, mcTurtlehead, ryan and the rest of the KKKlan. Unfortunately Bernie's days are numbered as well. We have to sift through for "the truth" and do our utmost to direct this country forward. We are slipping far behind, and we are ALREADY far behind the countries who are investing in the future and I know we won't catch up in my lifetime.

Why no speed rail across the Midwest? Why no free internet and college tuition? Why no universal health care. Because our politicians are short sighted, and we are going to pay for it for generations to come. They will come, maybe in our lifetime, maybe not; but we will eventually have these things. But China, Europe, and possibly even Asia as a whole will have it before our gridlock allows us to move forward again. We are inching forward where we should be sprinting to catch up. Right now we are sliding backward....no doubt; but this is only temporary. But once we break free of this disgrace in the White House and his cluster of theives, the Democrats need to make DRASTIC change to get us back into the game.

"the Democrats need to make DRASTIC change(s) to get us back into the game."
?
edited to reflect my view.

There was really only one champion for getting 'The Money' out of politics.
And that was certainly one of the changes needed.

Nixon went out the door as a bipartisan effort

Democrats had jobs, there was inflation, we didn't blame Republicans, in fact
we supported and respected the Republican Main Street businesses in our
cities and towns

It all got polarized gradually over the decades. It began in 1980.
