Ever hear of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease?

Not all detox products are suspect or fake. I recommend reading Anne Louise Gittleman's "Fat Flush" for a some sound information about liver cleanses.

"Sound information?" None of her work is peer-reviewed and non-alcoholic liver disease is NOT from a build up of toxins, it's a build up of fat:

WHAT IS NAFLD?
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the build up of extra fat in liver cells that is not caused by alcohol. It is normal for the liver to contain some fat. However, if more than 5% - 10% percent of the liver’s weight is fat, then it is called a fatty liver (steatosis).

Unfortunately this is what we are up against: http://www.sciencealert.com/researchers-have-figured-out-what-makes-people-reject-science-and-it-s-not-ignorance

People believe what they want to believe. I only believe the cold hard truth which can sometimes be painful to swallow.

From your link:

_______

Now, scientific facts are being wielded like weapons in a struggle for cultural supremacy, Kahan told Melissa Healy over at the LA Times, and the result is a "polluted science communication environment".

So how can we do better?

"Rather than taking on people's surface attitudes directly, tailor the message so that it aligns with their motivation," said Hornsey. "So with climate skeptics, for example, you find out what they can agree on and then frame climate messages to align with these."

______

But how do you do that with someone who not only does not think human activity is warming the planet, but that the planet is not warming? I have a relative who believes that, and I have provided him charts and articles and he thinks I am just feeding him lefty propaganda. Same with anti-vax people. They're educated, intelligent and yet have lost their minds on the issue.

is largely a waste of money, I would agree. The video also makes the point
for targeted medically recommended detox, which is fine. Coffee administered
in a detox way is known as a cleanser, some swear by it.

That's coffee. Not covfefe.
