Considering the Emoluments Clause in the Constitution is not considered a problem for this crook.

The only way this ends with any negative consequences to the Shit-Gibbon in Chief is if the people take to the streets in numbers that scare the fuck out of the 1% and then THEY will give the marching orders to the GOP cowards.

When Watergate happened, it was honor and love of country over party that led the Republicans to turn on Nixon. This scandal is 100X more damning....obstruction of justice in an effort to protect your NSA is bad enough on its own, but when there is an element of cooperation or communication or collusion with an adversarial state power as well? If this had been Obama or Clinton talking to Iran or China, the rending of garments and wearing of sack cloth and ashes would be endemic on the right...

We need a full-throated, primal scream...a spasm of protests 2 or 3 times greater than the ones that preceded Iraq invasion....and we need it to go on for as long as it takes.

Though this would be an act of self-preservation and not of civic responsibility. Trump may be such a liability on the Republican Party by the time the 2018 midterms come up that a sufficient number may be willing to shitcan him.

Which would give us Pence. Who isn't any brighter, though at least not as liable to start a war with a poorly-considered tweet.
