Angela Nagle thinks mainstream/centrist/leftist dismissal/fear of this extremely taboo cultural issue makes the alt-right the sole purveyors of a powerful and growing source of frustration across political lines. This is an issue other than racism/nationalism (which is also a powerful recruiting tool and defines the alt-right).

Nagle is a leftist writer who contributes to Jacobin, the Baffler, Current Affair, and Irish Times. She is also the author of a book detailing the online evolution of the alt-right and how they normalized white nationalism called, "Kill all Normies"

1. Learned helplessness, here's why they won't change

The alt-right is affected by this sexual hierarchy or getting sex hierarchy, I don't doubt that, and so I think the issue is the problem of 'hierarchy' itself. They have no problem with a racial hierarchy, a gender hierarchy, a class hierarchy, sexual orientation hierarchy, violence hierarchy, but since they see themselves at the top or near it, they have no problem. But because they are at the bottom of the getting sex hierarchy, it makes no sense, total hatred, complete outrage, and it must be because of someone else they are not at the top... feminists, women who won't give them sex, "alpha" males", "beta" males that they are totally not and never will be, snowflakes, liberals supposedly poisoning the media against them, etc.
