to move back to where his family is from to prepare for the Rapture which was to happen within the next couple of months.

That was 3 years ago. Wonder what he is thinking now?

...had a lengthy sequence of colonial era "end of timers" that was well done too. I'm not sure what episode in Season 3, or if it was part of 2 or more episodes, but it was a number of scenes focusing on one family's belief in a coming rapture. What started out as a community of people following a rapture-predicting preacher, evolved into fewer and fewer families, until just the one family remained as believers. Even the preacher had gone or had died! By the scene's end - only the woman of the house was left to pursue her undying commitment to witness the rapture. She had lost everyone and everything important her life - everything but the desire to go to God, to die!
