I am grateful for a look into how important Thanksgiving is to deployed soldiers overseas, having never been there myself.

Being able to stand in those soldiers' shoes made me understand how tone deaf the POTUS is to what's really going on. His Thanksgiving message to deployed troops is to thank himself for being a great president. Even more, he tells them they should be thankful he is the president, too.
