Really have a problem with a senator that is a major progressive stalwart suddenly becoming a suspected ‘person of interest.’
What precipitated this explosion of negative animosity?
There had to be something.
Anybody have a clue?

Gillibrand, had an op-ed today, calling for other Senators to speak out. And, then they shamed the women into going along. I really dislike Gillibrand. She is grandstanding with this, and checking her power. Fuck her.

It won't work, IMO.

Also, conflating what he did to what others have done is wrong. It will backlash against women (again, jmo)

accusing him of sexual assault. One in fact even accused him of rape.

While the alleged behavior that Al Franken is being accused of is inappropriate, it sure didn't rise to the same level that Al Franken is being accused of, so it begs the question, why won't they even allow the ethics investigation to proceed, but instead want Franken to resign, while they didn't ask the same thing of Bill Clinton.

Sorry, but the excuse, "I evolved on the issue" does compute

This feels like a dragged out version of election night - watching one by one as the blue wall states fell, waiting and waiting for some sort of reversal that never came.

While I hope Senator Franken does not resign, I will understand if he does. To have over half your colleagues not even be willing to stand with you while the ethics hearing plays out must feel like abandonment. How agonizing it would be to walk back into the senate chamber knowing people who you thought were friends want you gone. I would feel so betrayed.

They think after Franken resigns they will have free reign to criticize maggot and Moore.
It won't matter at all.
We will get nothing of benefit.

I'll be the first to call for their immediate resignation. No hearings,no truth no nothing, that Dem needs to resign by the next morning. I'll give them the same courtesy they gave Franken.

Here's 32 of them
