On January 31st, the day after Trump’s first State of the Union, our movement will come together in Washington D.C. for Fossil Free Fast: The Climate Resistance.

GET TICKETS NOW: bit.ly/fossilfreetickets

Movement leaders will share stories on the urgency of the current political and climate crises, and light our path ahead: resist the Trump Administration’s ongoing attacks on our climate, build power towards the 2018 and 2020 elections, and secure the lasting change we need through local action.

Speakers will include: U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, 350.org co-founder Bill McKibben, Rev. Lennox Yearwood from Hip Hop Caucus, Jacqueline Patterson from the NAACP, Cherri Foytlin from L'eau Est La Vie Camp - No Bayou Bridge and Louisiana Rise, Adriana Voss-Andreae from 350pdx, Varshini Prakash from the Sunrise Movement, Jessica Lorena Rangel from Eyes of a Dreamer and more!

The type of handwaving they've been doing on climate - which consists of a dubious and failed claim that so called "renewable energy" can save the day is a proven failure at addressing climate change.

The world spent two trillion dollars in the last ten years on wind and solar with the result that the rate of decomposition of the atmosphere has accelerated, reaching a rate of 2.2 ppm per year, the highest rate ever observed in recorded history.

McKibben can stuff his "350 ppm." Because of his unrealistic and narrow technological focus we are now at approximately 410 ppm and no one now living will ever again see a value of less than 400 ppm in their lifetimes.

He hasn't a clue, but if he had one, this would be it: A bunch of bourgeois people switching to hybrid cars is going to continue to do what it has been doing, which is to say nothing at all.
