2. Sorry, this is misleading.

Most of the footage is of "Hollywood" Indins. Nothing to do with Native American life, culture, dress, etc. Disappointing.

7. The excerpts from old movies

with everyone wearing 'warbonnets' is a dead (and laughable) giveaway.

10. You've probably already seen this, just passing it along if you haven't.

12. I had not seen this and it is EXCELLENT!

This is worthy of an OP, IMO. The history is murky because...genocide. No one talks about genocide. Thanks!

6. That was my first impression, too.

Some of the stuff definitely looks staged.

16. Although some of it is actual Blackfeet members doing "staged" activities...

...for tourists at Glacier Park.

It's a mishmash, and the fact that they don't identify most of the clips shows that they're not really interested in conveying accurate information.

It may not be intentional misleading, just the usual disregard for what's important to the subjects you're portraying.

wearily,
Bright

17. That's what is so crushing,

"just the usual disregard for what's important." Your note comforted me. Wado.

5. Wonderful - heart warming - informative

I love to go to Cherokee NC (about a 3 hour drive for me) and stay a couple of days. The Indian culture is present, and the Indian museum there is glorious.
