Frankly, there is far too much deification of the military in this country.

We have to hear of how many hundreds of cop related shootings a year in this country? (mostly minority)

We have a military that's how many times the size of the next largest military?

We use how much money on said military instead of the civilian populace at home?

You misinterpret berating the military for berating soldiers. Soldiers are just pawns of the officers, the generals, those that use them to die in their place to reap the benfits of victory and profit.

As for police. They aren't even constitutionally obligated to protect and serve.

There's a reason a lot of us don't trust the police. There's a reason a lot of us say bad things about the military. It's because of what we see them do, over and over.

And don't say "a few bad appels" because that's incomplete. The phrase goes "A few bad apples spoil the barrel."

If the WaPo article is correct he really screwed up and does have something for which to apologize. He's painting a whole segment of people with a broad brush and it's as bad as being racist.
