It doesn't matter. What matters is the hundreds of young children and teens being slaughtered in an environment that should be safe for them. They are there to learn, not to be killed and terrified. School shootings are terror attacks on the nation's youth. I might add that the majority of these attacks are carried out by home grown terrorists who have unlimited access to guns and ammunition. Has anyone else noticed that the guns being used are not simple handguns, although those handguns can do a lot of damage. They are weapons that are used on battlefields across the world. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH AMERICANS THAT THEY LET THESE ATROCITIES GO ON DAY AFTER DAY, WEEK AFTER WEEK, MONTH AFTER MONTH, AND YEAR AFTER YEAR, BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE MINDSETS THAT SUPPORT WHAT IS HAPPENING BY DOING NOTHING - NOTHING TO STOP THE CARNAGE. When it comes to mass shootings and gun violence, if no one is politicizing it, that means no one is making any attempt to address it!

16. This is an example of the Repubs "sending out the dogs" to get ahead of a story.

The Repubs have a system: When something potentially damaging to the party or an issue happens, the Repubs "send out the dogs" en masse: a group of Repubs are sent out across media, all with essentially the same talking points, to hammer home the Repub message (in this case, that it's the DEMS who are politicizing it, and it's the fault of the DEMS, not the Repubs).

Maybe they'll mess up this time and not hit all the media, but I'm gonna guess we're gonna see them on Morning Joe, more Fox shows, the news being questioned (as the Repubs make themselves available for questions), ABC, NBC, Meet the Press, Face the Nation, etc. Hopefully we'll see the Dems there, too, hammering home the Democratic message.
