Pelosi/Schumer are mainstream liberals who try their best not to offend, yet still get attacked by conservatives, mainly for being a symbol of diverse America (which exists all across the country, not just on the "coasts", metro areas are everywhere).

Dems have to stop pandering to social conservatives, and start defending liberal principles as American principles.

We'll lose some red areas (especially in the midwest, whiter/older), but gain areas that are trending blue (southwest, southeast), that are urbanizing, younger, more diverse, etc.
