Donald Trump, in effort to curb the opioid epidemic wants to use the death penalty to fight the war on drugs, here to support his position Julio Rivera debating Thom Hartmann.

I don't have issues with capital punishment on characters like that.

3. I don't believe in capital punishment...it is a horror...and this would be misused make no mistake.

Given our corrupt system, innocent people would die.

7. Escobar could have been executed under current statutes

Escobar was responsible for a lot of murders. They wouldn't have had to, as they said in Judge Dredd, "expand execution to include lesser crimes."

The real issue is, if Trump expands the list of crimes worthy of the death penalty when does he stop? Will he be satisfied with "crossing the border illegally" or will "insulting the president" be on the list?

an excuse to execute Black and Brown people. Trump is a monster.

8. This reminds me of the Nancy Reagan " War on Drugs" crap. That was just an excuse to target

minorities and was a total failure. I think this is typical for a "Conservative" point of view.

It is not "justice" and is not and never has been a deterrent.
It is barbarous, vengeful and retaliatory and has no place in a civilized society.
