(1,332 posts)Don't be fooled, I'm betting Ryan will return to run for president in
maybe 2024 or later. He's only 48, he's got a lot of time to destroy
social security (which he benefited from) medicare and medicaid. He'll take the summer off and maybe catch up on his re-reading of Ayn Rand, but he'll be back. Like the flu. He had a taste of it when he ran for VP, I have no doubt that, like the terminator, he'll be back.

(81,267 posts)I cant help but suspect two ego-driven reasons are behind this.
1: he foresees (or his best internal intel forecasts) a GOP bloodbath in November and he doesnt want to face the humiliation of handing his gavel over to a Democrat.
Or
2: he foresees an increasingly realistic prospect of being voted out of his own Congressional seat, because hes facing an increasingly appealing Democratic challenger (Randy Bryce) in the midterms. And that would be HOWLINGLY humiliating!
I bet the ghost of Eric Cantor haunts him every minute of every day. Eric Cantor was a smug, swaggering GOP Congressional leader/Golden Boy too, with all kinds of upwardly-mobile perceptions and public assumptions, until he got primaried out of his seat a few years back. And now Cantors in a Wall Street job that pays him a kings ransom with none of the political jungle warfare or aggravations or other inconveniences (like having to work with a certified moron in the White House).
Just my opinion, of course.

(6,186 posts)Duffy is another right winger that needs to go. Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District deserves far better than this hypocritical excuse of a representative.
The voters are catching on to the right wing con job you and others have gotten away with for way to long.
Supreme Court Justice (elect) Dallet is the proof..... your days are numbered.

(6,186 posts).... so no matter how I would try and cannot bring myself to wish those horrible things on anyone including Paul Ryan. But short of that I hope he dies at a ripe old age and penniless. And that the history books will label him as the person who wanted it all for himself while at the same time denying healthcare, happiness, and financial security to the 99%.
He is one evil bastard. Who should be remembered as one.
