The Democratic Wedge Issue Must Be Grass Warfare ... THE High Priority For Mr. Perez

... or we lose Millennials to Republicans who smell The Money.

"... We need to ... turn potheads into single issue voters, too ...

Nobody's really coming for your guns, but Jeff Sessions really does want to take away your pot, for which there is no protection from the Second Amendment ... being against guns is not a lifestyle, but guns is a lifestyle, weed is a lifestyle..."

I endorse this, politically. But it's taken too damned long to get us here. By design. ancianita Apr 2018 #3

The science on the benign properties of marijuana have been known since research days in the 70's.

Scientists have known that marijuana wasn't properly classed as a Group I narcotic like heroin, and was chemically classed by pharmacology as an hallucinogen. Were they suppressed? Who the hell knows.

70's Studies that showed weed to be the world's greatest soporific -- sleep inducer.

Written, replicated, peer-reviewed studies of the 70's also showed marijuana's varied effects on short-term, long-term memory, fine and gross motor skills, REM sleep over time, and any psycho-addictive effects.

Then some list of ignorant politicians completely shut down all marijuana research.

Add to them the list of venal politicians who, a few years later, decided to make war on black people over it in the 80's.

Other candidates are winning on weed legalization, and so the party needs to run with this.
