Dana Bash Is An Idiot For Allowing Conway To Pivot On THIS One...

Last edited Mon Apr 23, 2018, 03:00 PM - Edit history (1)

Kellyanne Conway's husband sometimes puts out anti-Trump tweets. Bash brings that up. Conway successfully puts Bash on the defensive by claiming that Bash has just 'crossed the Rubicon' on attacking peoples' spouses.

Dana Bash is an imbecile. Any interviewer with HALF a brain would have pointed out that it was Conway's BOSS who made spouses fair game when he...

-Said Ted Cruz's wife was ugly
-Attacked Jeb Bush's wife for being a 'Mexican.'
-Called Andrew McCabe's wife a 'loser.'
-Attacked McCabe relentlessly for having the audacity to be married to a Democrat.
-Attacked 'sleepy eyes' Chuck Tod for having a wife that occasionally works for Democrats.
-Pardoned Scooter Libby, the guy who helped to tear down Valerie Plame just because she was Joe Wilson's wife
--And speaking of spouses...spent a whole year attacking Hillary Clinton over things her SPOUSE had said and done.

No, Kellyanne, you're boss crossed the Rubicon of attacking peoples spouses back when you were still working for TED CRUZ, and ATTACKED HIM FOR DOING IT. You are the biggest steaming pile of hypocrisy the GOP has, and that's no small accomplishment.

I would not talk or even be in the same room with that creature who is straight out of depths of hell. She is in need of a expert exorcist.

...it's like talking to a brick wall! She just runs off with whatever she wants to say... I do like the tighter eyes on Kellyanne, though. Her eyes are more even. The chin looks too rebuilt, but I can see in profile it matches her nose. She looks nice and is very expressive. You can tell when she smiles how much she detests Dana Bash! I wonder if the "little girl voice" is something she works on... she seems to have made her voice more "little girl" over the decades. She is a strange woman!

I was just disappointed that Bash backed down so easily, and didn't have a comeback prepared for Conway's attack. Anybody who's watched Conway's career could probably predict what she was going to do next. Either pivot to Hillary, or claim the question was out of line. If she claimed the question was out of line, Bash should have been ready to point out that it was TRUMP who 'crossed that Rubicon' a LONG time ago.

You could see Conway was ABOUT to say that CNN had just started a war where it's fair to drag people's spouses into politics. But then she realized how vulnerable she'd be with that answer, and started parsing what she was saying. By the time she finished fumbling, she'd whittled it down to saying it was unfair to drag people's spouses into it for having DIFFERENT POLITICAL OPINIONS. She HAD to do that because she easily could have been nailed if she'd just said it was unfair to drag people's spouses into it.

And yes, she was clever to agree to be interviewed by Dana Bash. Next to Wolf Blitzer, she'd the dumbest person on CNN. Anderson Cooper or Ali Velshi would NEVER have let her get away with that.

...she has become less convincing and upped the high tones of her voice... I recall her during the Clinton years, as Kelly Ann Fitzpatrick. She was not on TV as much for the early millennium, but is back for Crooked Donald.

I almost get the feeling that he's TRYING to get her fired! And I can't say I blame him. For every year Kellyanne works as Trump's political flack, it'll probably take FIVE years for the stink to clear off of her career. At this rate, she won't be able to work in politics again for five year. Five years until people stop protesting her at speaking engagements...five years before people stop shouting "You! You're that...that..." at her in coffee shops. Yeesh. Is it WORTH it?

Maybe it is! After all, the plutocrats who fund the GOP have (so far) been pretty good to their foot soldiers. If they enable GOP politicians, who give billionaires TAX CUTS, they get a wingnut welfare job on retirement. The way Wingnut Welfare works is, if you were reasonably dignified (like Paul Wolfowitz) you get a senior fellowship at the American Enterprise Institute, and you sit on the boards of a dozen companies. Good for about half a million per year. Not bad for a couple of days work per month. If you were a little bit of a political cowboy (like Jim Demint) you end up at the Heritage Foundation instead of the AEI.

Finally, if you were an embarrassing clown, or an outright felon (like Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, Oliver North, Mark Furhman, or Sarah Palin), you end up as a 'pundit' on Fox News.

So, I'm guessing Conway is doing this ridiculous job because she expects to be the next Karl Rove on Fox News. Given that she's a peroxide blonde with a fondness for mini-dresses, they'll probably give her her own show! (If I were Laura Ingraham, I'd be pretty damned nervous about Kellyanne Conway right now!)

...one of the biggest "leakers" in the Administration. I think this is it for her... she's getting too old for FOX and the other networks would pass on a Kellyanne show.

Maybe she and Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity can start their own radio channel. VERY MODERN!

This is one time Kelly is smart...she knew to agree to an interview with Dana Bash because Bash is a lightweight and Kelly knew she could screw her over! Let's see Kelly squirm with someone who could actually be tough on her!

Next to Wolf Blitzer, Dana Bash is the dumbest person on CNN. We all know that Blitzer would have folded like a cheap tent, too. We SAW him do it when he interviewed Dick Cheney. When he pointed out that Cheney has a gay daughter, but his party's platform is rabidly anti-gay. Cheney just said "I think your question is out of line," and, after he was finished dumping a load in his pants, Blitzer back peddled faster than Rand Paul at the mention of immigration. He then went into a ten minute monologue on how much he loved the Cheney family.

So, next time I see Conway on CNN, I DON'T want to see her talking to Bash OR Blitzer. Let's see her try to pull that crap on Stephanie Ruhl!

This is why I take all the Breathless Infotainment Cable News with a grain of salt. It is simply about ratings and advertising dollars and nothing much more.

It’s no more than 10 minutes a day if that for me, to occasionally find out what they are yelling about or what I am supposed to be afraid of then I switch to reruns of anything for peace of mind.
