(51 posts)We are well into the second year of the Trump First Reich. There are days in which I struggle to get out of bed. I just don't want to deal with the knowledge that Trump and the Republicans are ruining so many children's lives and are actively working to destroy social security, medicare, and other programs in the social safety net.
Then I serendipitously encounter a story that renews hope. It is the story of Christian Picciolini, who, at 14, went from naïve teenager to white supremacist -- and soon, the leader of the first neo-Nazi skinhead gang in the United States. How was he radicalized, and how did he ultimately get out of the movement? In this courageous TED talk, Picciolini shares the surprising and counterintuitive solution to hate in all forms.
