(8,200 posts)Their leader has such a horribly malformed conscience that when he was a boy he stoned a tot in his playpen next door. His neighbors, justifiably were afraid of what he was capable of. He was such a monster and uncontrollable in school that his father in desperation sent him off to military school where he attempted to push a cadet out the window for not obeying him. Only the Shadow Knows what evil lurks in the mind of this monster. What has he done and what he not capable of defies my guess.

(2,690 posts)Kilmeade and Ingraham are heartless, soulless people, lesser demons, if you will, in thrall to Trump. Ingraham is not so intellectually deficient that she doesn't know better -- she just likes being an asshole. Kilmeade, on the other hand, is stupid in the real sense of not having a lot of mental stuff with which to work. Together they provide a good picture of Fox and, of course, its viewership of full-on racists. (Yep, I did that. Called all regular Fox viewers racist, because if you aren't racist you wouldn't be watching that ugliness and cheering for more.)

(2,146 posts)41 Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.
44 They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?
45 He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.

(47,430 posts)Its funny how I never hear these holier than thou right-wingers quote these passages. Jesus was very clear in his teachings, there's no reading between the lines for some secret meaning. Ignoring the lessons makes a person one of the hypocrites that Jesus also spoke about, leaving no doubt who he meant.

(3,515 posts)A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[c] and gave them to the innkeeper. Look after him, he said, and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.
36 Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?
37 The expert in the law replied, The one who had mercy on him.
Jesus told him, Go and do likewise.

Here is the point:
The Samaritans were "foreigners" in Israel in that they had different beliefs and a different version of their Bible or holy book than the Jews.
The Samaritans are adherents of Samaritanism, a religion closely related to Judaism. Samaritans believe that their worship, which is based on the Samaritan Pentateuch,[18] is the true religion of the ancient Israelites from before the Babylonian captivity, preserved by those who remained in the Land of Israel, as opposed to Judaism, which they see as a related but altered and amended religion, brought back by those returning from the Babylonian Captivity. The Samaritans believe that Mount Gerizim was the original Holy Place of Israel from the time that Joshua conquered Canaan. The major issue between Jews and Samaritans has always been the location of the Chosen Place to worship God: Mount Zion in Jerusalem according to the Jewish faith or Mount Gerizim according to the Samaritan faith.[11]
Once a large community, the Samaritan population appears to have shrunk significantly in the wake of the bloody suppression of the Samaritan Revolts (mainly in 529 CE and 555 CE) against the Byzantine Empire. Conversion to Christianity under the Byzantines also reduced their numbers. Conversions to Islam took place as well,[19][20] and by the midMiddle Ages, Benjamin of Tudela estimated only around 1,900 Samaritans remained in Palestine and Syria.[21] As of January 1, 2017, the population was 796, divided between Qiryat Luza on Mount Gerizim and the city of Holon, just outside Tel Aviv.[22][23] Most Samaritans in Holon and Qiryat Luza today speak Hebrew and Arabic. For liturgical purposes, Samaritan Hebrew, Samaritan Aramaic, and Arabic are used, all written with the Samaritan alphabet, a variant of the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet, which is distinct from the Hebrew alphabet.[24] Hebrew and later Aramaic were languages in use by the Jewish and Samaritan inhabitants of Judea (the name by which Israel was known during part of the Second Temple era) before the Roman exile.[25]
Samaritans have a stand-alone religious status in Israel, and there are occasional conversions from Judaism to Samaritanism and vice versa due to marriages. While the Israeli Rabbinic authorities consider Samaritanism to be a branch of Judaism,[26] the Chief Rabbinate of Israel requires Samaritans to officially go through a formal conversion to Judaism in order to be recognized as Halakhic Jews. One example is Israeli TV personality Sofi Tsedaka, who formally converted to Rabbinic Judaism at the age of 18.[27][28] Samaritans with Israeli citizenship are obligated to undertake mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces, while those with dual Israeli-Palestinian citizenship (living in Qiryat Luza) are generally exempted.

When Jesus instructed the lawyer to help the Samaritan, he was telling him to help the foreigner. Most people miss the point of this parable.

(14,574 posts)This guy Kilmeade must be a sociopath right on par with Trump and his disgusting shithole administration.
Because I actually wept when I saw those pictures - how could ANYONE fail to be deeply moved by them, by the proximate closeness of the reality.
As I pointed out to my US Representative (freedom caucus) if this was Libya ripping children away from their parents, America would be BOMBING us to force us to stop.
This is why I say we MUST take back power and set this house in order. The Louis Powell doctrine has nearly destroyed this republic. The perps behind these atrocities must be held to account for their actions in an international tribunal where they can face worldwide testimony about the misery their policies have caused.
And, you know what? Kilmeade's free to say this shit. The First Amendment says so. But he and his noisome network are also free to take the consequences of lost viewers BECAUSE he said it. And I hope they do.

(15,035 posts)But it's not those immigrants, -- those poor children who have been terrorized here in America, along with their parents or caretakers.
People like Kilmeade, the imbecile above who said, "These people are from another country," tells us all we need to know about the people who now hold all the power in America. I often wonder if these cruel, self-serving motherf****rs are part of the same species as the rest of us?
Their inability to recognize human suffering, human agony and misery, makes them, somehow, less than "human." Or at best, mentally unbalanced in some way. They have zero empathy. And they really don't give a rats ass if families ripped apart are ever reunited. They see the immigrants, those being subjected to American terror, as less than human.
We all know that this is pure evil. How long will this go on in our name?

(11,885 posts)A president's psychologically training people to except the abuse of children, intentionally hurting, and damaging them for life, and claiming he's a victim, and they're criminals, and locking up babies is ok. Soon he'll start blaming others for this in his administration for him to fire them for doing what HE started and was behind all along. People supporting this are sick accepting this , and allowing him to normalize doing this . All should be shunned by our society for this now. Is trump doing this to our country now to create a civil war in this country?
