Seth takes a break from breaking news to check in on Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, who has been quietly overseeing a massive rollback of civil rights regulations in her department.

1. Every time I see DeVos.....

all I can think of is a deer in the headlights. She is a very dim bulb, and should forever be kept away from any organization with the word 'education' associated with it.

He featured an important but under-covered consequence of Agent Orange's maladministration.
I think his only two qualifications are 1) are you incompetent? and 2) are you devoid of shame? Besides, of course, syncophantic toward him. Hey, maybe I'll call her Betsy Devoid-of-shame.

6. That pretty much says it all

I call then "anti" appointments - since he seems to go out of his way to choose the least qualified candidate for each and every post - and the one who is most likely to do the most damage. Stupidity or intentional? I guess it doesn't make a lot of difference.

4. DeVos has some sort of business related B.A. from a midwestern (admittedly well respected Calvin)

bible school. Her busy interference in public education has come through the family money she's had available to buy herself in and throw around for her "Christian" cause. Like most longtime professional educators, I have a doctorate or doctor's equivalency in Education, as well as many years' classroom experience. Almost all of us are better qualified to be Secretary of Education. Sarah Sanders, also a bible school graduate, at least majored in the proper fields for her position.

5. I absolutely loathe Betsy DeVos. I have never seen her being questioned where she did not

come across as a complete and utter moron. How is this woman the Secretary of Education?!

BTW, MA Rep. Clark, who grilled her mercilessly is a friend of mine from college. I thought she did a great job at holding her feet to the fire. I would like to see more of that from our lawmakers.

And that is very cool that your old friend was the one to take her on! She did a great job, but it had to be frustrating, it's like DeVos is in some alternate universe - she not only hasn't a clue, but she doesn't seem to even realize it!
