he can play golf and sell Trump properties full time, blame all his failures on the Democrats, make some money, then declare victory. He can do campaign rallies and charge his ego boosts to the campaign. Perfect for him.

Then, as it sank in, it fit Trump's logic perfectly.

He has attacked Nancy Pelosi since taking office.

If he can place the blame on her for EVERYTHING in the run-up to 2020, that would be his dream come true.

And you're right, he would cease all efforts and spend more time in "executive time" and golfing.

It's one of those tinfoil hat theories that ain't so tifoil when you consider the players.

It's hard for the Republicans to really paint Democrats effectively as the enemy when they don't control any of the 3 branches. Take back the House, and suddenly the Republicans have a boogyman again that they can use to scare voters to the polls.

Just like the "too liberal" or the "socialist" insults.....we're going to get them anyway.....and we're going to get blamed anyway so......let's own it. If he wants to help us win then great...as long as we win.

Let them keep the House and still blame Dems anyway?

You're right. He's gonna blame Dems anyway like he does now even though rethugs run everything , so why not vote to try to take back the House this fall? Also on a side note, Dems HAVE to come up with better messaging though & talking points. "A better deal" isn't cutting it.

Assume that the Democrats take the House but not the Senate....

If Trump can goad, irritate, or incite the House to bring about Impeachment charges and pass them, then it will go to the Senate...

which may still be controlled by Republicans...

soooooo....

The trial on the Articles of Impeachment will fail by a Republican Majority...

And Trump can assume tha mantle of the victim..blame the liberals...for all the failures of his administration...and incite his rabid base for the 2020 election.

I know this sounds far-fetched but this guy (and his demonstrably more crooked advisors) is so crooked I wouldn't put anything past him.

He wouldn't stick around to get impeached. But hey, don't let all that evidence go to waste! I mean there are still lots of people to take down, starting with Mike Pence.
