"Collusion Is Not A Crime" Mashup.

In case you haven't noticed, the Right Wing Echo Chamber has spent the last year softening up their base for their second to last fallback position. The 'collusion is not a crime' position.

-Russia didn't hack our election. (It was China, or some 400 pound guy on a bed.)
-Okay, they did hack, but the Trump Campaign never had contact with Russians.
-Okay, we did talk to them, but there were never any strategy meetings with them.
-Okay, we had strategy meetings, but we didn't collude with them.

We're now approaching this position. Good thing they spent a year warming up the talking point.

-Okay, maybe we did collude with Russia, but 'collusion' isn't a crime.

WHat's the FINAL fallback position? Wait for it, because you'll be seeing it very soon...

-Okay, we DID work with the Russians to undermine the election. SO WHAT!? If it meant keeping CROOKED HILLARY out of office, it was a GOOD thing! It was the PATRIOTIC thing to do.

But I don't think they'd have any trouble following PUTIN. Sadly, most of the base in the modern GOP have authoritarian personalities, and are vulnerable to fascist, nationalist tactics. They easily fall under the spell of 'strong man' leaders like Putin.
