On his most recent podcast, released today, former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara speaks with Joyce Vance (who held the same job in the Northern District of Alabama) about the blockbuster events of Tuesday 8/21. Recorded just after 6 p.m. ET that day, this is a fascinating conversation between two brilliant legal minds as the dramas of Manafort's conviction (and, more significantly, Cohen's confession) unfold -- check it out at the link below, or use your favorite podcast gizmo to access Stay Tuned With Preet.

"I appointed you, but you don't serve me. You serve the American people. And I expect you to act with independence and integrity."
She and Preet agree that it serves everyone well to heed these words today.
I'm very glad the outstanding teams in the Northern District of Virginia and the Southern District of New York have done their jobs so well in these two cases.

Bharara's recent conversations with Bill Browder and Steve Schmidt were both excellent also. Come to think of it, this show is always good!
He usually answers a few listener questions at the beginning, too, which I always find enlightening.
