17. The ONLY time I set foot in Walmart is to buy insulin for my dogs.

We have two diabetic dogs who both need 2x daily shots of insulin. Every other pharmacy charges close to $90/vial, Walmart has it for $28/vial. Since one vial lasts me about 3 1/2 weeks it makes a big difference in the budget.

Does anybody know if pharmacies in Walmart are run by Walmart or are they contracted out?

My baby kitten had her own Costco pharmacy card made out to Blossom Catrose (which I still have a decade later) to make her meds cheaper.

Walmart has a deal with the mfg and they buy their insulin by the tanker load. I've talked to pharmacists at other places that we shop at and they all agree that nobody can come close to Walmart on the insulin.

But the insulin is the ONLY thing I buy. I even go elsewhere to get the syringes, even though it means that our vet has to write two prescriptions rather than one.
