(8,200 posts)He is a devoted member of the ultra-conservative faction of the Catholic Church that has alienated millions of Catholics who have abandon the church. I would not be in the least surprised if he isn't a member of the secret society Opus Dei that has infiltrated government at the highest positions. These people are dedicated to establishing a virtual theocracy in which their religious interpretation could be imposed on society without reservation as to individual rights. They stand in direct contradiction to the founding fathers who despised the religious zealots who have plagued mankind. They firmly stated that this nation is founded on secular principles and not founded on any religious foundation. There are a few states, primarily those in the South along with Pennsylvania and Maryland that have religious tests in the constitutions, however no attempt in recent years has been made to impose them. This was of such primary importance that it was written into the Constitution that there would be no religious test for any federal office. The founders were men of the enlightenment not religious fanatics who they held in low esteem. There is little doubt that if Kavanaugh is confirmed that it will be the solidifying step for the repeal of women's right to control their own personal being. In some ways I hope that the enemies of the Constitution make the fatal step and that it can be met with out right massive "peaceful" rights to assemble. Perhaps it is time for a direct confrontation as to what is to be the path of the nation, fascism or democracy.
