under the control of the same groups that want to control the political messages.

There is no way that Verizon/Comcast/ATT/Murdoch/others aren't looking at ways to filter/limit what can be transmitted.

And, of course, what logs are recorded about who you talked to and what was said. STASI/KGB/HUAC will all have a nice time with your records.

1. Some people do want kings. In the States they are called Republicans. Study after study shows they prefer authoritarian systems.
2. People are still tortured and killed in the public square. They are leaders that are for the people, and if they get too much influence they are assassinated, they are those fighting for environmental and social justice that are murdered world wide, they are African-Americans in the States who are shot by police.
