(43,149 posts)No reasonable interpretation could be made that he caused shortfalls in any Democratic vote totals, or in MI WI PA. He can't really even be said to motivate the other side more than our side.
If I remember correctly, this is the closest to an election that he has released a film. Fahrenheit 9/11 he was forced to release it by his distribution compadres in early summer, and it was invisible by election day.
He may be piggybacking the Blue Wave here, but I doubt he'll be much of a factor, unless he can motivate minorities to vote.

(150 posts)last night at a "peoples premiere." He made a film to put the fear of fascism in people and god bless him for it. His coverage of what happened in Flint alone (10,000 children who will live their lives suffering from lead poisoning due to the actions of Michigan's criminal governor) is worth the price of admission.
By the way, Moore's film that came out just before the 2016 election was a plea to vote for Clinton. Those who vilify him have a poor measure of the man.
The new film will open on 1700 screens. It will have an impact.
