Bill Maher: GOP Is Made Up Of ‘Magical Thinkers’ Who Mistake ‘Superstition For Science’

VIDEO here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/bill-maher-gop-is-made-up-of-magical-thinkers-who-mistake-superstition-for-science/

Bill Maher concluded his show tonight by going after the Republican party for taking positions that he argued are just fantasies that have no place in serious political discussion. He used the recent comments by Congressman Todd Akin to argue that the GOP frequently mistakes “superstition for science” and they do not have “grown-up answer(s)” to important economic issues. -snip-

The crazy things that the RW has come out with just boggle the mind, Michele Bachmann, Rmoney, Allen West, Sarah Palin, Chuck Grassley, Jim DeMint, Jan Brewer, Sharron Angle, just to name a few. Todd Akin is hardly the only one. Why don't people at least say "What?!!!"

Geez, I first had this general thought back in the 80's, when people who really believed in evil spirits thought Dungeons & Dragons posed a a danger to youth. And people paid attention to them because they were "concerned parents", whereas the game-players who understood that magic was fiction were just some gawky teenagers.
