Hey journalists! Here's how to properly interview a Senator.

For those who never lived in or watched TV from the local Detroit-area. This is local WXYZ-TV channel 7 action news anchor Bill Bonds interviewing Orrin Hatch during the Anita Hill hearing. Notice how he doesn't care about future access or give a damn how he feels:

I met with a reporter from a paper in a large US city who said he could not report certain important stories for exactly that reason. He didn’t want to lose his access. Our free press is seriously compromised.

be expected to be interviewed? It is time for term limits, to end the perception by these politicians that they are really "royalty". Hatch should have retired many years ago.

Grew up near Detroit and Bill Bonds was a regular voice on my television. Usually commercials for the news hah. Never saw him do a serious interview like this. Glad to see it.

Orrin Hatch is still a jerk.

When the questions get difficult, fall back on accusing the questioner of being "discourteous."

I liked that this interviewer didn't waste time with pleasantries... just went straight at him.

When he was good, he was very very good. When he was bad, it was quite a fall.

Well the Comedy Central show "Detroiters" paid homage to it with a scene involving Bill's arch-rival Mort Crim. Enjoy!

I am tired of hearing all of them talk, PERIOD. No more listening to any of them. NO MORE.

Orrin Hatch is and always has been such precious, pathetic hack. I can't wait until he's gone.
