2 points to make:

One: civility for a republican means never telling them they're wrong, apparently.

Two: no they fuckin DONT. they have a responsibility to keep us correctly informed via the FACTS.
In so doing, the only limitations are libel and slander. In the pursuit of that goal, I'm fine with them being as unfucking civil as they need to be, and buttercup can suck it up.
