(10,724 posts)Which is to say, there is an agreement in place whereby he votes with our party and represents our party on numerous committees.
I'm not a Bernie fan, and I hope he doesn't run for president, but I'm not willing to pursue a pointlessly divisive "he's not a Democrat" argument. Personally, while I don't agree with all that he says, I do agree with his independent stance. Its what I would have done. I've been a Democrat since Jimmy Carter, but I've always "kept my own counsel", as they say. Sometimes having principles means keeping a certain distance. I wouldn't criticize that in anyone.

(145,610 posts)The networks are carrying the official response from Sen. Schumer and Speaker Pelosi and so there is no need to search out sanders' official response on some youtube or facebook post

(11,489 posts)I will then know where I stand upon this particular issue. Any additional input from other parties only confuses the issue.
Of course there is no benefit in considering ideas possibly beyond those that are officially defined.

(67,782 posts)...it will hurt him even more with Democrats than he already has.

(28,151 posts)It demonstrates clearly he is not interested in the issue and solving it, he sees an opportunity to make chaos into a ladder (ala Littlefinger GOT) and he's taking it.
I think it's wonderful in that many more will now see he is all about self-promotion. He's worse than dead weight.

Thank you Representative Lieu!

BS actually asked for money at the end of his response? Seriously?

(63,221 posts)I know he's not a Democrat, but I can't say that I disagree with anything he said. I have been a pretty big Bernie critic, but I have no quarrel with him in this case.

totally makes sense.

(13,070 posts)Bernie's actions disqualify him in my book. Now, Kamala Harris, AOC, there are some progressive liberals.
