This is an excellent presentation by a man who, um, fails the "um" test, but has a very powerful message. African Americans have been adversely impacted by the downturn, and there have never been specific efforts to address this. However, the country as a whole has been affected, so putting the spotlight on African Americans about Obama is a smokescreen. African-Americans are reflecting the general voting body who are disappointed in the president.
We are only 14% of the national population, but when our turnout is extremely high, we can be powerful. If we are disillusioned and don't vote, then it is less likely that Obama will win a state like North Carolina.
But to suggest that the main thrust of this presentation is about "the Elite" is incorrect. I realize that this won't get a lot of recs because it's not a gushing endorsement of the president. But I must admit that it would nice if, in his second term, Obama figured out a way to do something meaningful to help black communities.
