2. there is a reason...

it's called "The Humanities"... art and culture is what makes us human... I had a really rough childhood and many works of art made huge differences in my life... 4th grade, hearing Danse Macabre in school music class and later as I started in a new school, finding Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" in the library... there are many others as I got older but I will never forget the impact that these had on me... art has most certainly saved my life
