What does an apology really do? Absolutely nothing useful.

This is what an apology represents to republicans who must give them:

1. I can say whatever I want, no matter how horrible, racist, misogynist, classicist, etc. it is, but I must say what it is in my heart, no matter how evil that little bumping organ inside me is.
2. Apologize
2.1 Keep my job
2.2 Shut people up because "I apologized"
2.3 Get more chances to say whatever I want in the future because I can always apologize again.

Soooo...An apology for a republicans means absolutely nothing, it is just a "get out of jail free" card because people in the USA put so much weight on an apology that they can use it over and over, but it means nothing to them.

Yes, I have received apologies and I have given apologies as well, and you are 100% correct, when they come from the heart they are a beautiful thing, but not when it comes from a crook who makes a calculated apology just to get out of trouble, and those are the apologies I was referring to.
