The EPA was created in 1970...

So how did The Clean Air Act, designed to protect our air and water, and voted into existence in 1970 during a Republican administration, with only a single dissenting vote, become the target for extinction by the current GOP ?

Simple answer. Oil company behemoths putting obscene profits above human lives

the repugs want to spend that money on more wars . thanks for sharing . We sure want to go back to the bad old days . when i was a kid , i lved in a suburb of la called glendora ca . during the summer , most of the time was spent indoors because of smog (yes smog, live with it . not haze. smog.) alerts. the sky was so grey ( a aunt came from england one time and mom pointed out the mountains , what mountains she repled.) mor money for mittens. (bleh)

4. They used to, back in the good 'ol days... but now they've literally lost their grip on reality

they'd just assume DIE than do anything the Democrat wanted to do... you can see it with stimulus, with health care, with taxes

this is all about fighting, even though they have already forgotten what the fight is about in the first place, they continue to swing wildly, punch-drunk with anger, to the point where they knock themselves off their own feet and tumble down the drain

this could very well be the end of the GOP after the election is over

the disenchanted will try to form a new party and that will split them to their own demise for decades
