when she was very young. All I knew were union songs. My parents never sang me kid songs. Maybe they didn't know any. We went through the ritual of putting on her blankets in their proper order and maybe read a chapter or two. We ended with a rousing chorus dedicated to the working class. I wish I had those days back again.
