the Crown of Thorns Star Fish in the southern ocean. They're wiping out the Great Barrier Reef, and there's a shitload of them.
Another side effect of extinction.

in SoCal. 5 years ago they were all over...
I remember the massive die-offs along the West Coast. Many attributed them to the (still) ongoing Fukushima triple nuclear meltdowns. However, climate change is certainly a major factor.
