Step 2. Tell your followers that journalists can't be trusted. "See the lies they print!"
As a journalist, I can say it's always shocking when you realize you've been lied to, but it's a great lesson for us. We're taught in journalism school that at the heart of our work is the practice of verification. And generally, we do our best at that. But who could predict the avalanche of prevarication by the modern GOP?
Obviously, we journalists need to be much better at calling out lies and liars, and generally I think we are getting better.
But the result of the GOP's lies and journalists' timidity at calling out the lies has resulted in a populace both conservative and liberal that distrusts all journalists.

Also telling, Corey made repeated references to his only loyalty is to GOD when swearing before GOD. Is this a religious war he's fighting?
