4. He is a coward with a defective brain. Ultimately, he has to face impeachment alone.

His best option: "Run to where they can't get me." Resignation may not be enough. Perhaps the House accepting his voluntary exile, or going to a place that does not have extradition agreement with USA.

What is the very most important thing to a megalomaniac like this rouge, over and above power and money?

How much does he remind you of a petulant child in contrast to a mature adult with real emotional intelligence?

Those factors play into what he might do. As was said, it is about losing control and the effect of going through the impeachment process. All braggadocio aside, I see him as a "coward within", also.

We'll have to see how it plays out, but if it came down to saving his own skin, he might toss babys out a window if he had to. I think his egomaniacal power tripping is fragile. So far, he has been able to maintain it and his actions reveal that he will ramp it up and get as far as he can. It is going to be up to the checks and balances to thwart him. If they do, then this is going to be something he is not used to or can handle. It's will be a Waterloo; a last stand.

Pelosi actually supports it going to the floor for a vote which I do not think will happen.
My prediction is that she will return the karma the Repugnants earned over their multiple Benghazi investigations in spades and simply keep the investigation ongoing until after the election.
Why? Because keeping the heat on Trump and his water carriers in the House and Senate opposing the investigation causes them to do far more harm to themselves as they keep tripping over their own feet in an effort to hide things.
But anyway as I was saying she will wait until after the election and should he win a 2nd term she will seek to impeach him then not to mention by then she also might have enough evidence to impeach others like Pence.
Anyway I say we sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show as we watch Trump rage over being completely impotent in stopping Pelosi.
