Trump 'Doesn't Know What He's Doing Or Talking About' - Brett McGurk - Rachel Maddow - MSNBC

5. Brett was always a pro, despite his failings in choosing a political party.

Twitler said Obama founded ISIS. Twitler knew all about ISIS.

Then he came into office and had nobody in mind to appoint as Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. He didn't even know he had to appoint someone to fill the position, he had no clue. So he had to beg Obama's appointee, Brett McGurk, to stay. He had beg the 'founder of ISIS's' guy to stay manning the position as the head of the US fight against ISIS.

Then after 2 years of McGurk sticking it out working for him, in December of '18 Rump said ISIS was defeated, so he's pulling out of Syria. McGurk said he was quitting because of that, and Rump said he didn't know McGurk, the guy he put in charge of defeating ISIS.

He knows all about ISIS, knows ISIS is defeated, he just doesn't know the guy who he'd put in charge of defeating ISIS.

Rump performed at the usual Rump level of competence. Be stupid, lie, fail, say you succeeded greatly and hugely, show you're stupid and incompetent again, and lie again.

6. Thank you for that most important info.

I should have done background reading before posting.

McGurk was impressive, most credible, and passionate in this interview. And appeared to be unlike other tRump hires, so it makes sense that he *wasn't* actually a tRump hire. Years of McGurk's hard fought accomplishments have been destroyed by that know-nothing in the WH.

Thanks again, Mc Mike.

He really underscores the gravity of this situation and Trump's carelessness in pulling out. I honestly hope that none of our troops are harmed because of this stupid, reckless decision.

It could have been my brother over there and I can't imagine what the family members of those troops are feeling right now. I know I would be sick to my stomach with fear and furious at the fact that this know-nothing president had put a loved one in harm's way.

Unlike the disaster-in-chief. I could feel his pain when he was speaking and my heart breaks for all those Trump carelessly put in harm's way - especially knowing that he still has no comprehension or regrets.

This guy obviously knows what he's talking about and I found what he said quite affecting. He seemed to get almost choked up so I did too.

It's mind boggling to hear what's really going on and that anyone who could step up and do the right thing is capable of ignoring it. Not to mention those who aren't paying attention, intentionally or not. Bill Maher explained it tonight when he showed a clip of delusional Trump saying that everyone was "happy" now - in so many words. He said that there are actually people who only see and hear this and believe it!

and thank you for posting those as well. It was a good show this week. Susan Rice is amazing. There was a lot to think about with what all of them talked about.
