House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held off on moving to impeach President Trump until the world learned about his phone call with the Ukrainian President, and she announced that he gave us no choice. For me, timing is everything, Pelosi told Jane Mayer in a live interview at The New Yorker Festival. And Ronan Farrow, whose reporting on Harvey Weinstein and other accused sexual predators helped to open the floodgates of the #MeToo movement, details the effortsincluding enlisting a private spy firm staffed by ex-Mossad officersto halt his reporting and muzzle some of the accusers who went on the record. Farrow spoke with a private investigator who was assigned to spy on him, until he had a crisis of conscience.
Both interviews are really interesting. The live audience for Pelosi's interview makes it more enjoyable.
