The class and grace of the previous president gives truth to the lie that is Trump-era fantasy.

I am going to go have a good cry and hope that I can find something legitimately worth being thankful for on the national level...after I fail there, I will resort to being thankful for my family and spend the rest of the day trying not to think about how this nation is being destroyed for profit and graft...

but he won. You never know. We need to be thankful for our gifts: family, friends, and today. There is a miracle going on right now. We are communicating in the present with machines that were considered a "fantasy" 60 years ago. And just as important, I was there in the 50s to think about that "fantasy."
....Communicating like we are doing right now was for science fiction. Moreover, the idea of carrying around a tiny computer that fits in your pocket, and doubles as a telephone was also "fantasy."
....Perhaps we will have someone as outstanding as Obama become President. You never know.

then I got a lump in my throat, remembering what it was like when we had a REAL president, respected and admired worldwide. He was, and is so genuine. Nothing phony about President Obama. What you see is what you get. He loved people, no matter what their station in life. Thank God we had him for 2 terms. I wonder how long it will take to get "back to normal" when the gigantic mess in the WH leaves?
