it wasn't appropriate, and that he can buck Donnie Dumbass and man up and apologize.

with other senior officers and maybe even military lawyers. Somebody at that level can't just go off and say something like that without a reality check on possible repercussions, and not just to him. If he made those statement, he knew he had support.
