Papantonio: Confederacy of Dunces Alive in the South

One of the favorite lines of the Teabag Republican Party is their claim that President Obama is either un-American, or that he doesn’t love America. And this isn’t just an empty talking point – in large areas of the country, particularly down south, hardcore conservatives honestly believe that President Obama doesn’t love this country because he isn’t from the South. So as a country, would we be better off if the south finally seceded once and for all? Mike Papantonio seeks to answer that question with Chuck Thompson, author of the new book “Better Off Without ‘Em.”

That's what happened during the Civil War and the Confederate States were founded. President Lincoln tried his hardest during some really ugly times in our history and paid the ultimate price when the President was assassinated. This one act of stupidity caused our path in America History to probably change forever. I also, believe that when President Kennedy, Robert Kennedy and Dr King were Assassinated that this started a dynamics that have led us to where we are in 2012.

When President Obama was elected I knew that there would be a push back to his Presidency and has been proven by Congresses lack of real leadership and replaced it with some very regressive doctrine that is really hurting the United States.

It was unbelievable that the GOP would attack the President when our Diplomats in the Middle East were murdered. This offensive act of madness should have brought the two parties together.

Every day our Diplomats and their staffs work for this Country to bring hope around the World and the GOP just wants to make political gains before November.

Like Walt Kelly famously said " WE HAVE MET THE ENEMY AND HE IS US"
